After a nine-year break, Ernie returned to the studio to record The Songwriter, produced by Bradley Bergen at Simon Johnson’s Hillbilly Hut Studio. It features 14 songs Ernie wrote for other artists and had never recorded himself, plus four new tracks he’d never put down before - 18 in all, almost a double album.
